Securex South Africa 2024 — Value-added visitor features

by maurisha

Award-winning Securex South Africa continues to attract industry professionals looking for the latest trends in security. Securex South Africa 2024 is co-located with A-OSH EXPO, Facilities Management Expo, and Firexpo 2024 from 11 to 13 June at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.

“In addition to Africa’s largest range of security products and services on display all under one roof, Securex South Africa offers further drawcards in the form of several visitor features. We believe in making the visitor experience as well-rounded as possible, to maximise the visitor’s time at the expo,” says Mark Anderson, Portfolio Director at Specialised Exhibitions (a division of Montgomery Group).

The New Products Display, situated at the entrance to Hall 2, showcases selected products from some of the exhibitors. These products are carefully chosen to demonstrate the latest technology available in the market, and provide visitors with a snapshot of what they can expect inside the exhibition hall.

“The K9 Law Enforcement Demos continue to grow in popularity with both exhibitors and visitors. This interactive demonstration of the well-trained law enforcement dogs is situated in the Node Link between Halls 2 and 3. The dogs are put through their drug sniffing and suspect apprehension skills throughout the day over the three days of the expo,” says Anderson.

“Transport yourself into a world where cutting-edge technology meets the realm of imagination, as sleek drones take flight in a display of agility and precision. Picture a spectacle straight out of a sci-fi blockbuster, where drones soar effortlessly through the air, weaving intricate patterns and executing daring manoeuvres. The drones in the Drone Demonstration Area offer a glimpse into the possibilities of tomorrow’s security solutions,” says Anderson.

The SAIDSA Techman competition attracts some of the industry’s most talented certified technicians, who compete to wire up an alarm circuit board in the fastest time (with the highest level of accuracy).

The Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) recognise and reward companies, people, and innovation across the security sector. The OSPAs are designed to be both independent and inclusive, providing an opportunity for outstanding performers, whether buyers or suppliers, to be recognised and their success to be celebrated.

The Fire Protection Association of SA (FPASA) InFIReS Conference features prominently in the diaries of municipal chief fire officers and engineers, underwriters, and legal and insurance executives.
